DAVID HORDEN
David is a Perth based photographer whose work focuses on pets and landscapes.
His passion for photography started back in South Africa. His grandfather used to photo document his annual hunting trips and would spend hours developing the films and making slides, and I was fascinated by these activities. Back then he could only take snaps with his automatic 35mm film camera.
In 2012, he bought his first DSLR (Nikon D5100) and was hooked. He started off with taking landscape photos of popular and off the beaten track places in and around Perth and areas to the North, such as the Pinnacles desert area, he extended this to taking photos of landmarks and landscapes in England in 2013. He also became interested in photographing family and friends' pets, especially dogs, as he enjoy the connection they provide between themselves and himself, the photographer.
He has since upgraded his camera gear and is currently using a Nikon D750 and Nikon D600 as his backup camera.
